Is Grooming Essential?

Proper grooming is more than just a fashionable hairstyle, it is an essential part of your dog’s overall health! Dogs, just like people, need regular baths and other physical upkeep. Bathing is an excellent way to check on your dog's health. During a bath, dogs are examined for fleas, ticks and other abnormalities or injuries that may be hiding in their coats.

Nail trimming is another essential part of your pet’s health. Uncut nails can over grow into the foot pad which is painful for our dogs. They are also more likely to split down to the quick causing pain and risking infection. Having your pet’s nails cut regularly can make for a happy, healthy dog.

Teeth brushing is an often forgotten part of your dog’s overall health. Plaque build-up is common which makes for bad breath, and can lead to gum disease and tooth decay. It can also cause painful infections. Severe infections can spread, causing life-threatening conditions. Dental hygiene is the best way to prevent this, plus it spares you from the classic “doggy breath” when you go in for a hug!

A full grooming service with our brusher-bather will include a shampoo/conditioning treatment with our high quality products, a blow out, a brush out, a nail trimming, a tooth brushing, and an ear cleaning. Price varies depending on size, coat quality, and temperament. Individual nail trimming services are also available for $25.
